"Kong: Skull Island" Wall Variations

Official concept art for the 2017 Legendary Pictures / Warner Brothers film "Kong: Skull Island". It was a complete pleasure to help realize the vision of director Jordan Vogt-Roberts and production designer Stefan Dechant for the film. I was just one small contributor among a group of many immensely talented artists -- an opportunity I will forever be grateful for.

These were some of the many versions of walls that I did. I think almost every artist on the film did a pass at the wall in some form or another.

For a while we were trying to do a take on the same wall from the 1933 version of Kong.

An early 3D sketch of my crazy idea for a "helix" wall that I pitched to JVR. He loved it, and for a while it was in the script.

Another take at my "helix" wall. These were ultra-quick -- just trying to get ideas out.
